Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Director, Communications and Brand Narrative role stands out in SaaS because it sits at the intersection of category creation and enterprise go to market for an AI platform. The listing signals a company with credible enterprise adoption and analyst visibility, but with narrative work still catching up to product reality, which is a common inflection point for SaaS firms operating in emerging or rapidly redefining categories.
For a SaaS communications leader, the career upside is building a repeatable earned media and storytelling system that connects product vision, customer outcomes, and market shifts. Ownership across PR, executive messaging, social voice, and launch moments provides exposure to the full communications stack that SaaS companies rely on as they scale awareness across regions and buyer segments. The emphasis on proving a model in North America before expanding also reflects how SaaS teams validate programs before global rollout.
This role best fits a senior operator who prefers ambiguity over inherited playbooks and is comfortable moving between strategy and hands on execution. It will appeal to someone energized by translating complex technology for enterprise audiences and aligning stakeholders across product, marketing, and sales without treating communications as a standalone function.

Job Description
The best-kept secret in enterprise AI. Your job is to make sure it doesn't staythat way.
Every agentic workflow in the enterprise depends on surfacing the right information at the right moment. That's what Coveo does. We're the AI-powered search and discovery platform behind companies like Intel, Dell, and Abbott - and a recognized Magic Quadrant leader.
Here's the problem: not enough of the market knows it.
We haven't told our story the way a company at the center of the AI shift should. The customer proof is extraordinary, the product point of view is sharp, and the category is exploding - Gartner launches a new, second Magic Quadrant for AI- Search soon. What's missing is an owner to pull it together into a narrative our market can't ignore.
We're putting real money behind it. We’ve just hired tier 1 PR agencies in the US and Canada - and that's only the start. Prove the model in North America, and the plan is to fund the same effort in other geographies. This is a chance to build a global communications function from the ground up, with the investment and executive support to do it.
That's this role. You'll decide what Coveo says to the world, where it says it, and how it sounds - and make sure the right buyers and media hear it.
As our Director of Public Relations, you'll own:
The narrative. Shape a differentiated story connecting our product vision, the market shift, and what our customers achieve - and make it land with enterprise buyers.
A global function, built in stages. Deploy the US and Canada agency budget now, prove what works, then expand into Europe and Australia.
Getting us on the map. Build the earned-media engine from the ground up - top-tier business and tech press, podcasts, and the channels where ourbuyers pay attention - and lead the agency partnerships that scale it
Customer storytelling. Turn our marquee customers into compelling, repeatable proof points - not buried case studies, but stories people remember.
Social and brand voice. Own our social presence and give Coveo a voice that's confident, credible, and worth following.
Cross-functional narrative leadership. Align marketing, product, and sales behind one story - and arm our executives to tell it well.
The big moments. Drive integrated communications around product launches, Gartner MQs, partnerships, and major announcements.
Here is what will qualify you for the role:
Are genuinely curious about AI and excited to explain how it's reshaping the enterprise.
Are a creative storyteller who can translate complex technology into a narrative people care about.
Have built communications programs - you're energized by a blank canvas, not waiting for a playbook to inherit.
Work fluidly across product, sales, and marketing rather than operating in a “PR” silo.
Can balance strategy with execution - you'll set the vision and get the placements.
Bring deep experience in enterprise B2B technology or SaaS communications, and know how to direct agencies and budget toward realoutcomes - not just brief them.
What would make you stand out:
A track record of taking a strong-but-underexposed company and meaningfully raising its profile.
Experience launching narratives in emerging or fast-defining categories.
Comfort coaching C-level executives and building thought-leadership platforms.
Range across earned, social, and paid - with an instinct for where attention is moving next.
You move fast - you know trying new things means failing, and you're fine failing quickly because that's how we get better.
Do you think you can bring this role to life? Or add your own color? You don’t need to check every single box; passion goes a long way and we appreciate that skillsets are transferable.
