Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Genesys Cloud CX sits in a mature segment of SaaS where reliability, extensibility, and continuous delivery directly shape customer experience outcomes. An Engineering Manager focused on Work Automation is therefore positioned at the intersection of platform capabilities and real operational workflows, a common pressure point in enterprise SaaS where product promises must translate into repeatable, scalable execution across many customers.
For a SaaS engineering leader, the role offers durable career leverage through exposure to cloud-native architecture, microservices, and production-grade delivery practices. The remit spans people leadership and technical stewardship, which maps closely to how SaaS organisations scale engineering: aligning roadmaps with product partners, managing trade-offs between near-term features and long-term maintainability, and building mechanisms that improve delivery predictability over time. Experience in these areas tends to transfer well across B2B SaaS companies operating multi-tenant platforms.
This position best suits a manager who stays close to technology without needing to be a daily individual contributor, and who is comfortable coaching full stack engineers while influencing design quality. It will appeal to professionals who prefer clear ownership of outcomes, enjoy cross-functional collaboration with Product and UX, and want to develop as a pragmatic leader in a cloud-first SaaS environment.
