About Clay
Our mission is to help organizations turn any growth idea into reality.
We see growth as a creative practice, not a formula. Finding and reaching your best-fit customers takes unique ideas and constant iteration. As AI makes execution faster and tactics easier to copy, creativity is the only lasting advantage. We're already helping thousands of customers — including Anthropic, Notion, Google, and Ramp — go to market with unique data, signals, and AI research.
In 2025, we raised a $100M Series C backed by world-class investors including Sequoia, CapitalG, and First Round — and crossed $100M in revenue.
In 2026, we announced our second employee tender offer in 9 months at a new $5B valuation. We also launched a community equity round, for our customers, agency partners, and club members.
Some things to know about us:
Our community includes 11,000+ customers, 150+ integration partners, 125+ agencies, 50+ Clay clubs, and 30k members on Slack.

About Clay Clubs & the GTME Community
Clay Clubs + the Clay Slack community are the IRL + URL heartbeat of the Go-to-Market Engineering (GTME) community — 84+ chapters globally, a Slack community of thousands of practitioners, and one of the strongest flywheels Clay has ever had for PLG growth and brand. It’s where GTMEs meet their next hire, their next employer, their next idea, and their next friend.
This is a mini-founder role. You’ll think about community the way a founder thinks about their earliest, most loyal users — with obsession, taste, and a bias toward making the experience better every single week. That means owning:
Club quality — the bar for what a great Clay Club event looks like, and whether we’re clearing it globally
Digital community health — the pulse, signal, and culture of our Slack community and how it compounds over time
IRL ↔ URL handoff — turning in-person energy into digital continuity and vice versa
Operational systems — the workflows, playbooks, and tooling that let 84+ Clubs run without quality slipping
GTME integration — making sure Community flows cleanly into Sales, CX, Talent Marketplace, and Events
Member quality — who gets in, who gets amplified, and who becomes a champion
You’ll partner closely with our Clay Clubs Lead and our Slack community lead to coordinate events, in addition to the CX team, Sales, and the broader GTME Ecosystem. This role will be the connective tissue between the loudest, highest-signal GTMEs in the world and the teams at Clay who build for them.
What You’ll Do
Help scale Clay Clubs globally. You’ll help define what a great Club event looks like, and build the systems that make that bar achievable for 84+ chapters, and more as we continue to scale.
Re-energize the digital community. The Slack has lost some of the magic of its original intimacy as we’ve scaled to 30K+ members. You’ll create programs and structures to make even a 30K+ community feel like an intimate space for everyone who joins.
Build systems to manage operations. With 84+ IRL chapters around the world, there’s a lot of system building & processes we need to put in place to continue to scale at the quality bar that we want.
Make IRL to URL seamless. The best thing that can happen at a Club event is the second-best thing that happens afterward in Slack.
Be the internal megaphone for the community. You’ll surface what GTMEs are actually saying, feeling, and building back to Sales, CX, Marketing, and Product, and vice-versa.
Partner on international expansion. Clubs are one of our sharpest edges for expanding into new geos, as are digital community events.
Who You Are
An experienced community builder with taste. You’ve built community before, ideally inside and outside of your job. You’ve know the difference between a community that’s authentic and one that’s performative.
A systems thinker who hates systems for their own sake. You reach for a playbook only after you’ve seen the thing happen a few times.
An operator who actually shows up. You’re in the Slack threads, taking part in the conversations. You’re hosting events to set the example. You love doing the work.
Warm, humble, and fearlessly passionate. You take pride in what you do, but people take pride in confiding in you. You emanate connectedness wherever you go.
Comfortable in ambiguity. There is no established playbook for running a globally distributed community of AI-native GTM practitioners. Our goal is to build a first of its kind community. ****
Proven hunger, not just potential. You’ve already built or scaled something real, with impact.
Who You Are Not
A strategist who doesn’t execute. You’ll design the new member onboarding flow and then write the welcome emails. Zoom thirty thousand feet out, look at the problem from all dimensions, then get right into the weeds.
A systematizer before a prover. We need someone who runs scrappy experiments first, then thinks about building systems only when the pain is felt.
Someone who needs community to be quiet to be good. Our community is loud, opinionated, and sometimes messy. Embrace the chaos
A people-pleaser who optimizes for ease. You’ll make hard calls about which programs to sunset, and which members to spotlight (and not).
